This ride isn’t just about distance—it’s about meaning. I’ve mapped out one of the hardest self-supported cycling routes in America. Over 6,000 miles. Across the Rockies at elevations reaching 13,800 feet. Through wind, cold, and thin air.
Then it’s 2,500 scorching miles through the deserts of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and California—where shade is scarce and the heat can be relentless.
I chose this route because it’s the most difficult I could find. Not to prove something about myself—but to reflect something far greater.
No ride—no matter how long, how brutal—can compare to the sacrifices made by our veterans. But this is my way of honoring them.
Every mile, every climb, every moment of discomfort is a tribute to their endurance, their courage, and their service.
I ride so they’re never forgotten. I ride to give back. Please join me and support Ride for Vets.
With gratitude,
Brett
